PURPOSE:To make a copying device simple and inexpensive and, in addition, to improve the durability of the device, by providing a lighting device which irradiates light upon the displaying surface of a copying original on which pictures are displayed and, at the same time, exposing the reflecting light from the displaying surface to a sheet of photosensitive paper which is photosensitive to the light of the same wavelength. CONSTITUTION:When a copying original 10 is fed in one direction by a driving device and, at the same time, a sheet of photosensitive paper 28 is fed by feeding rollers 26 under a condition where the photosensitive paper 28 is faced to the original 10, micro-capsules 38 on the photosensitive paper 28 are selectively exposed in corresponding with the pictures displayed on the original 10 by the reflecting light from the copying original 10. Upon completion of the exposure, the exposed ones of the micro- capsules 38 on the photosensitive paper 28 are hardened and their strength is improved because polymerization of their photosensitive resin advances, but micro capsules those 38 which are not exposed maintain weak strength. Therefore, the unexposed micro-capsules 38 on the photosensitive paper 38 are selectively crushed, when the exposed photosensitive paper 28 is sent to the space between nip rollers 40 and pressed by the rollers 40 with a prescribed pressure.
