Device for switching off fuel during idling

Fuel-saving in carburettor engines is promoted by a device for switching off the fuel during idling in coasting mode, which device essentially contains an electromagnetic/mechanical control element which controls an electromagnetic shut-off valve. This control element contains a coil, a round-body valve with a ring on one side and an insulator on the other, and an electrical switch composed of two contact springs. A further spring produces the mechanical connection between round-body valve and throttle valve shaft or gas duct. The round-body valve switches the switch off or on by means of the coil and the spring in accordance with the force action. Since the switch of the control element closes or opens the circuit between the controller and electromagnetic shut-off valve, when the engine is in the coasting mode the device for switching off fuel during idling is actuated by the dynamo by the presence of the control current.
