<p>A smoking material, intended as a substitute for, or additive to, tobacco, is formed by water-insol. alginate fibres and a minor amount. of is not 1 modifier. Cellulose fibres, esp. fibres from good quality wood pulp, may be incorporated with the alginate fibres. Modifiers include dyes, esp. tobacco brown or yellow-brown, nicotine, esp. as the sulphate, citrate, citrate-sulphate, malonate or malate, aromatising agents, esp. powdered deer tongue and/or sweet wood, citric acid, or an agent for maintaining combustion, such as NaNO3 or KNO3. Tobacco may also be incorporated. The material may be creped and cut into strips, and may be used as a cigar, cigarette or pipe tobacco.</p> |
