PURPOSE:To make it possible to fix and set a plate material on a conveying tool while allowing said material to keep a prescribed position and attitude by providing a supporting tool for supporting the lower end edge of the plate material and an electromagnet for adsorbing and fixing said supporting tool to a prescribed position. CONSTITUTION:A conveying tool truck 8 is allowed to advance toward and closely approach a glass plate W supported on supporting parts 7U, 7L, 7R of an automatic lifting device 1, and the upper part of the glass plate W is supported by the holding part of an arm member by driving the cylinder unit on the side of a detachable lever 20 provided on the truck 8. Then, after allowing the supporting tool to vertically move by driving the cylinder unit 52 of a supporting mechanism 50 and further after allowing a supporting piece 53 to closely make contact with the lower end edge of the glass plate W, an adsorption plate is adsorbed and fixed while operating the electromagnet. And, after allowing the truck 8 to travel to a left prescribed position, a lifting work is performed by means of a lifting tool 60. |
