PURPOSE:To obtain an oven toaster capable of cooking a foodstuff in varied cooking methods according to the type of foodstuff, by providing a heating chamber with a hot air circulation device at the side thereof, an upper surface heater at the upper surface thereof and a switch for selectively actuating the hot air circulation device and the heater. CONSTITUTION:A magnetron 13 is provided to a heating chamber 11 via a wave guide tube 12 for thereby radiating a radio wave into the heating chamber 11. There is a subheating chamber 15 at the side of heating chamber 11, the sub-heating chamber 15 being partitioned by means of a porous plate 13 and provided with a hot air heater 16 and a circulation fan 17. When the contact a side of changeover switch 24 is selected and a door is closed to close a time switch 23, a radio wave oscillator 25 begins functioning and a high frequency radio wave is directed through a magnetron 3 against a foodstuff for heating it up. Then, by selecting a contact b side of changeover switch 24, the hot air heater 16, an upper surface heater 21 and a motor 18 are energized for allowing the circulation of hot air to take place in the direction indicated by a solid line arrow inside the heating chamber 11, while at the same time causing the upper surface heater 21 to emit a radiation heat in the direction indicated by a broken line arrow. In this manner, the foodstuff 20 can be heated up by the hot air and the radiation heat simultaneously. |
