PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistance generating device, which reduces amounts of magnets and generates and releases resistance to rotating movement of a rotating body with no contact.SOLUTION: A resistance generating device 51 for a vehicle comprises: a rotatable power receiving portion 4 that receives power; a plurality of rotatable transmission members 53 and 54 that transmit rotating movement of the power receiving portion to a rotating body 113; and a fixed member 3 that is arranged while forming a space between the transmission members and the fixed member and surrounds outer edges of the transmission members. The resistance generating device 51 for a vehicle has position change means 57 and 60 that, when the transmission members are rotated by rotation of the rotating body, generate resistance to the rotating movement of the rotating body by holding positions of the transmission members so as to linearly array respective magnetic bodies 55 and 56 of the plurality of transmission members along a rotating shaft line, and, when the transmission members are rotated by rotation of the power receiving portion caused by power, release the resistance to the rotating movement of the rotating body by shifting the positions of the plurality of transmission members from each other in a rotating direction so that the respective magnetic bodies of the plurality of transmission members are shifted in the rotating direction. |
