PURPOSE:To enable high-density images to be obtained repeatedly, by heat melting heat-fusible materials contained in both a transfer layer and a receiving layer once during or after the formation of these layers. CONSTITUTION:A leuco dye such as crystal violet lactone and a transfer layer mainly composed of a heat-fusible material (e.g. stearycapromide) are provided on a support such as paper or resin film to form a copying sheet. A color developer (e.g. 2-naphthol) for the leuco dye and a receiving layer mainly composed of a heat-fusible material are provided on a support such as paper or resin film to form a receiving sheet. The heat-fusible materials contained in the transfer layer and the receiving layer are heated to melt during or after the formation of these layers once and then, the transfer layer and the receiving layer thus obtained are combined together to form an intended thermal transfer medium. |
