PURPOSE:To prevent intrusion of induced noise and to save power consumption for helium liquidification, by irradiating a light on an optomagnetic converting element for generating a magnetic field, and switching a Josephson element by this magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:A signal light generated from a light source 21 made of a semiconductor laser or the like is led to an optomagnetic converting element 10 in a device main body set in a liquid helium 9 in a tank 8 via an optical fiber cable 22 having a bad heat conduction. The Josephson element 23 is driven by generating a magnetic field corresponding to the signal light with the element 10. Many Josephson elements are driven sequentially in time division by polarizing light and scanning it with an optical polarizer or designating an address in a device driving directly the Josephson elements by means of the optically induced magnetic field. |
