The invention concerns additional armament designed for use on a battle vehicle (3) on parts which are exposed to firing. The additional armament is designed as a module (1) with a base plate (4), a cover (5) and an intermediary layer of composite armour. The armour module (1) is deployed in the sub-layer in such a way that a certain shifting of the armour module (1) can occur when it is subjected to major stress in the form of enemy firing. The attachment device involves a number of strips (11) arranged on the sub layer against which the armour module (1) is deployed and which engages in corresponding broader tracks (12) in the underside of the base plates (13). An intermediary layer (15) of softer material, e.g. lead, tin, or the like, is inserted between the strips (11) and one of the edge's (14) of the corresponding tracks (12} and arranged to press out through at least one narrow vent (17) during shifting of the armour module (1).<IMAGE> |
