The invention relates to a stop for the lock of a sliding and tipping automobile door. The said stop comprises a pivoting lever 3 which cooperates not only with a traditional stop 2, but also with a roller 16 mounted on a panel 15 of the door in the guise of an auxiliary means of closure. On the panel 15 is a small roller 22 cooperating with a rolling surface 21 of convex curvature arranged on a stationary frame 20 of the door.
