PURPOSE:To avoid deterioration of the reproduced sound quality, by superposing the discriminating signal corresponding to the prescribed recording signal processing on an input signal when an audio signal is recorded and detecting the discriminating signal to perform the corresponding reproducing signal processing when the audio signal is reproduced. CONSTITUTION:The audio signal is recorded to a recording/reproducing head 4 via a selection switch S1, a recording ampifier 1 and a changeover switch S3 in a recording time of normal processing. While the audio signal is supplied to a recording NR (noise reduction) circuit 2 via the selection switch circuit S1 in a recording time of the NR processing. Thus the frequency characteristics are compensated for the audio signal. In this case, a discriminating signal given from a discriminating signal generating circuit 3 is superposed on an output signal and then supplied to the head 4 via the amplifier 1 and a changeover switch S3. If a reproduced signal contains a discriminating signal for NR processing, a selection switch circuit S2 is driven via a filter circuit 6 and a discriminating signal detecting circuit 7. The reproduced signal of the circuit 6 is supplied to a reproduced NR circuit 8. Thus the frequency characteristics are compensated for a reproduced signal, and this reproduced signal is delivered to an output amplifier. |
