The corn harvester has a pair of chain cases, in which are gathering chains, projecting forwardly and downwardly from either side of a body incorporating a reaping cutter. At least one crop raising roller is rotatably mounted obliquely on one side of and above one of the chain cases. The central axis of the roller is inclined forwardly and downwardly. A shoe is pref. attached to a lower surface of a forward end of the at least one chain case, to support a lower end of the roller. The roller is pref. conical with its dia. gradually decreasing towards the lower end. |
