PURPOSE:To make the input operation of Kanji easy, by inputting only a Kanji at the head constituting a phrase to output the phrase including following Kanjis having a high priority registered in advance. CONSTITUTION:When a key switch 8' corresponding to a Kanji ''Ko'' of a desired phrase ''Kosa'' is depressed, coordinate data of the switch 8' is transmitted to an operating section 3 via an encoder 7. The operating section 3 indexes a phrase storage device 2 based on the coordinate data to display a Kanji data of the Kanji ''Ko'' and the following Kanji of the Kanji ''Ko'' registered in advance, such as Kanji data of Kanji ''Tsu'' on an output device 4. When this is the desired Kanji, the operator selects the next step. But, when ''Kotsu'' is not the desired phrase, ''Kosa'', a deleting key 9 is operated. When the key 9 is depressed, the Kanji data of ''Tsu'' read out is canceled, the scanning of a key switch group 8 is started, and ''Kosa'' is displayed on the device 4 by depressing a switch 8' corresponding to the Kanji ''Sa''. |
