Sectional door having a case frame and an up-and-over door leaf composed of a plurality of panels (4, 4', 4'') which are successively articulated on one another and which are mounted respectively by means of rollers (8, 8') in lateral guide rails (5, 6, 7), each having a vertical portion extending parallel to the lateral case spars and a horizontal portion connected arcuately to said vertical portion, which door, to achieve as small a space requirement as possible above the top edge of the door aperture, at the same time with a plane door-leaf formation in the closed state and general capability of use, especially on doors, of which the ropes (42) of the weight-compensating torsion-spring device run up and down on the rope pulleys (41) inside the garage, is equipped, on its panel (4) which is uppermost in the closed position, with roller holders which, in the closed position of the door leaf, automatically ensure a greater distance between the rollers (8) and the panel (4) than in the open position, and which each have a pivoting arm designed as a two-armed lever (20) which, as seen from the roller (8), has a lever portion which is extended beyond the bearing block (11) and on the end region (22) of which is articulated one end (23) of a push rod (24) which is mounted so as to be longitudinally displaceable on the uppermost panel (4) and the other end (28) of which is aligned with a stop (29) which is fixedly arranged in the approximately vertically extending portion (5) of the respective associated guide rail (5, 6, 7), so as to project into the space present between the latter and the door leaf which is in the closed state.

|
