PURPOSE:To adapt an electric fan system and an automatic shutter-controlling system to each other, by a method wherein a shutter is opened by an electromagnetic means and an electric fan is operated when a high temperature of not lower than a preset temperature is detected by a cooling water temperature detecting means. CONSTITUTION:Cooling air is directed by an electric fan 11 to the radiator 2 which radiates heat of engine-cooling water, passage and cut-off of a flow of cooling air to the radiator 2 can be changed over by a radiator shutter 1, and the shutter 1 is opened and closed by electromagnetic means 5. A switch 8 detects the temperature of engine-cooling water, and when the temperature detected is not lower than the preset temperature, an electrical signal for operating the fan 11 and an electric signal for opening the shutter 1 are outputted to the fan 11 and the means 5. Accordingly, the radiator can be prevented from being overheated due to a rise in the temperature of cooling water, and the automatically controlled shutter can be fitted to a vehicle body fitted with an electric fan. |
