<p>PURPOSE:To enable the effective use of all the bins of a sorter, by enabling subsequent storing in a second mode to the remaining bins after sorting in a first mode. CONSTITUTION:When a separating claw 31a is turned clockwise by an angle alpha through the energizing of a solenoid 34a in a sorter, paper sucked on a conveying belt 20 by the action of a suction tank 30 and vertically conveyed down is separated and introduced into a bin 21a. The presence of paper in the bins 21 (21a-21n) is detected by bin sensors 45a, 45b. The number of sheets of paper in the bin 21 is found out by counting the number of times of operation of the solenoid 34. A control circuit is provided so that subsequent sorting can be effected in a second mode when it is judged that sorting to the remaining bins 12 is effectible after sorting in an ordinary mode (first mode).</p> |
