PURPOSE:To prepare L-threonine in high yield, by culturing transformed microorganism belonging to Escherichia genus, having AHV resistance by the plasmid integrated with a specific gene, and capable of producing L-threonine. CONSTITUTION:The DNA of microorganism belonging to Escherichia genus and having the gene information of phosphoenol pyruvic acid carboxylase is extracted, and is joined with a plasmid vector to obtain a hybrid plasmid, which is introduced into a microorganism resistant to alpha-amino-beta-hydroxyvaleric acid (AHV), capable of producing L-threonine and belonging to Escherichia genus. The obtained microbial strain is cultured, and L-threonine produced and accumulated in the culture liquid is separated. L-threonine can be prepared in high yield by the fermentation process. |
