<p>PURPOSE:To control supercharged pressure to several levels, by connecting the control chamber of an actuator and the intake pipe of an internal combustion engine to each other through an air passage, providing the passage with orifices in parallel with each other upstream and downstream to the control chamber, and providing the downstream orifices with solenoid valves which can be opened to the atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:A by-pass gate valve 10 is set to start opening when pressure of P1mm.Hg acts to a control chamber 13 as solenoid valves 19, 20 remain closed. If only the solenoid valve 19 is opened, the by-pass gate valve 10 starts opening when such supercharged pressure of P2mm.Hg that a pressure difference made by orifices 16, 17 is P1mm.Hg acts, so that the supercharged pressure is kept around P2mm.Hg. If only the other solenoid valve 20 is opened, such supercharged pressure of P3mm.Hg that a pressure difference made by orifices 16, 18 is P1mm.Hg is obtained. If both the solenoid valves 19, 20 are opened, such supercharged pressure of P4mm.Hg that the pressure difference between the orifice 16 and those 17, 18 is P1mm.Hg is obtained.</p> |
