PURPOSE:To suppress an increase of the resistance of an electrolyte while a battery is standing alone under overdischarge conditions and reduce the charge time of a battery by adding the nitrate of alkaline metals containing sodium or alkaline rare earth metals to unwoven fabric such as glass fiber called retainer and eluting it in the electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:In a charge current curve after the convertional battery (A) stands alone under overdischarge conditions where the sodium sulphate that is eaual to 0.7wt% of the electrolyte weight is added to the conventional battery (A) and retainer, it took approximately two hours for the conventional battery (A) to reach the 1A that is cut current, but a battery (B) based on this invention to which sodium sulphate is added obtains a good result of reaching the 1A within 10min. As a result, its charge time can be reduced by 2hr. |
