PURPOSE:To obtain quickly and inexpensively a model by using the 1st model and the 2nd model which is attachable and detachable to and from the 1st model in constituting a master model for a pair of plate members forming prescribed combination structures which are combined so as to face oppositely to each other. CONSTITUTION:A master model for, for example, an engine hood, consists of the 1st model 20 provided with the 1st model face 18 and the 2nd model 28 corresponding to the combined faces of an inner panel 16 of the hood. The model 28 is provided attachably and detachably on the face 18 except the partial model face 22 corresponding to the tight contact surface of the face 18, and is provided with the 2nd model face 26 constituting the model face corresponding to the combined face of the outer panel 24 of the hood together with the face 22. Since the face 26 and the inside face 22 of 18 constitute the combination face of the panel 24 where the model 28 is held fixed to the model 20, said faces are used as a master model for inspecting the shape of the combination face of the panel 24 and for the manufacture of a metallic die for forming the panel 24. On the other hand, the model 20 removed of the model 28 is used for the panel 16. |
