In order to prevent stresses in a predetermined limit position of the pivoting region in the case of a device which generates tension and/or compression and can pivot about a joint, the joint consists of a bolt which is firmly connected to the device and is flattened on both sides, and of a bearing which has a recess on its side which is not loaded as the limit position is approached, into which recess the bolt can move.
