PURPOSE:To decrease the number of molding processes, to simplify a manufacturing process and to reduce labor and cost by simultaneously molding a cylindrical commutator and the whole rotor through a simple molding process. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of commutator pieces 3 constituting the cylindrical commutator 8 are disposed around a rotor shaft 2. A plurality of flat segment coils 1a-1c are disposed in a plane crossing at right angles with the rotor shaft 2 around the commutator pieces 3. Sections among these segment coils 1a-1c are filled with a resin 7 for molding, and the resin is solidified while clearances among the rotor shaft 2 and the commutator pieces 3 are also filled with the resin 7 for molding, thus forming an insulating base for the cylindrical commutator 8. Accordingly, the rotor shaft 2, the cylindrical commutator 8 and the segment coils 1a-1c are connected and fixed integrally. |
