PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption for communication and to improve the reliability of a satellite communication system, by using a satellite having an extremely lower altitude than a static satellite to perform communication between the earth and a satellite. CONSTITUTION:The eighteen sets of solar period revolving satellites of seven revolutions are divided into two groups, nine each, and each of these two groups observes the same point on the ground at a low altitude for half day. Each satellite contains an antenna to receive electromagnetic waves from the ground surface. The signal received through the antenna of a satellite is converted or modulated into another frequency and then transmitted to the ground surface. |
