PURPOSE:To give enough strength to a bent part by fusing by a method wherein the bar heater, which has a U-like configuration in bottom cross section and a V-like configuration in upper cross section connecting to the bottom cross section, is heat-pressed into sheet-like thermoplastic foamed resin material from its surface toward its back so far not to pierce therethrough. CONSTITUTION:The bar heater 1, which has a U-like configuration in cross section at its bottom part and a V-like configuration in cross section at its upper part connecting to said bottom part, is heat-pressed into the sheet-like thermoplastic foamed resin material 2 from its surface toward its back so far not to pierce therethrough in order to form a nearly V-like groove in the sheet-like foamed resin material 2. The sheet-like foamed resin material 2 is urged by being bent at the center line of the groove so as to fuse both the walls of the groove each other, which are in molten state, in order to form the cushioning and insulating material. Foams of polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polymethyl methacrylate or the like are avaible for said thermoplastic foamed resin. |
