PURPOSE:To attain a detection voltage corresponding to an actual toner density, by performing the copying operation after operating an agitating machine provided in a developing device each time when an electric power supply switch of a copying machine is turned on. CONSTITUTION:Simultaneously with turning-on of the power supply switch of the copying machine, the agitating machine provided in the developing device is operated. Then, a close developer near a toner density detecting device provided in the developing device is fed out, and a fresh developer is supplied to the detecting device to detect an actual toner density. The agitating machine is operated for 10-15sec, and the detection voltage can be returned to that at the last copying time before power-off of the copying machine. Thus, a detection voltage corresponding to an actual toner density is obtained. |
