PURPOSE:To simplify the production of rubber belt by a method wherein a cylindrical rubber body with specified thickness is formed by means of a cylindrical forming die with its surface blasted at specified roughness to be cut off at specified width forming a rubber belt with square section and almost equal roughness of each surface. CONSTITUTION:In order to produce a rubber belt with dimension needless of any high precision such as that for driving counter, the surface of a cylindrical forming die is machined at specified roughness by means of sand-blast and the like to form a cylindrical rubber 10 with specified thickness and the surfaces 10d, 10b the roughness of which is similar to that of the die surface utilizing the cylindrical forming die. Next, the cylindrical rubbr 10 is cut off at specified width by a cutter 2 to produce a rubber belt 10 with square section making the roughness of both sides of the cut off belt 10a, 10c almost equal to that of both front and back sides 10d, 10b. Through these procedures, the roughness of each surface may be made almost equal with each other without any grinding operation making the production thereof economical. |
