PURPOSE:To obtain a pollution-free optical information recording medium which has high reflectivity and recording sensitivity, permits stable writing and reproduction of an optical signal and has high stability to light and humidity by forming a recording layer contg. a specific org. dye. CONSTITUTION:The recording layer contg. one of the org. dyes expressed by 15 kinds of similar prescribed constitutional formulas such as formulas I and II is formed. The recording layer is obtd. by dissolving the dye into an ethyl acetate, toluene and other solvent and forming a thin film on a substrate by a spinner method and other methods. The recording sensitivity is higher as the thickness of the thin film is smaller but the reflectivity depends on the film thickness and therefore, the thickness is preferably 10-1,000nm, more preferably 30-500nm. The film formability, heat resistance and moisture resistance are improved by adding a binder resin to 1-40wt%, more preferably 3-20wt% to the dye. |
