<p>1305743 Electrodeposition of particulate material FORD MOTOR CO Ltd 15 April 1970 [19 May 1969] 17926/70 Heading C7B [Also in Division C3] Particulate material and organic film-forming material are electro-deposited from a bath (a) comprising an aqueous dispersion containing 0À2-2 wt per cent of the film-forming material; (b) having a weight ratio of particulate to filmforming material in the range 3À5:1 to 20:1, and (c) in which the concentration of depositable material is maintained within the range 1À7 to 30 wt per cent. Various examples given of filmforming materials include polycarboxylic acid resins, poly(meth)acrylate, polyesters and acrylic, styrene and epoxy resins. The particulate material may be of ceramic frit or metal; and may be previously encapsulated with an organic material. Ceramic particles deposited may be sintered by subsequent firing to vapourize the organic material deposited.</p> |
