The present invention relates to a device for preventing a nut, a screw or a fixing bolt from loosening, comprising a cap intended to cover the head of the nut, the screw or the fixing bolt, this cap comprising a transverse bottom and a cylindrical skirt. This device is characterised in that the transverse bottom 4 of the cap 2 has, in its external face, a combination of hollows 7, the skirt 5 of the cap has, on its internal face, a thread 8 and a frustoconical bearing surface 9, and in that between the cap 2 and the nut 1 is interposed a longitudinally split intermediate bush 3, the cylindrical external lateral surface of the intermediary bush 3 having, on a portion of its height, a thread 12 and a frustoconical collar 14. <IMAGE>
