The invention relates to an insulation-displacement contact composed of at least one blade whose upper end exhibits a fork provided with a groove into which is forcibly engaged the end of the cable, each wall of this groove being connected to the upper end of one of the prongs of the fork by a ramp for inserting and guiding the cable. This insulation-displacement contact is characterised in that the blade 2, 21, 22 comprises at least one barb 16 for piercing the insulation projecting with respect to the bottom 19 of the groove 5 and whose cutting edge 17 is located in the median plane 18 of this groove 5.
