Pigeon entrances have a device for optionally directional blocking the entrance, having pendulum bars which are individually mounted on a shaft and can be directionally blocked or released by at least one bar-shaped blocking means arranged in their swinging region. Such a pigeon entrance is to allow a completely unhindered entrance and exit for the pigeons in one position of the pendulum bars, a considerably easier entrance for the pigeons in a second position, and the locking of the pendulum bars in a third position. It is proposed to make the pendulum bars (8) so that they can be placed with their free ends against the impact-side edge of the impact board (21) and that the blocking means consist of at least one bow (10) which is arranged with its two legs (11) pivotable in the region of the shaft (1), preferably on the shaft (1), and the pendulum bars (8) are pivotable, by way of the yoke (12) of said bow, into an open position and into an entrance position. <IMAGE>
