<p>Metal support post with W-shaped cross-section, the main legs of the W not being sharply canted into the flanges on the outer edges of the legs but merging via transition sections which are relatively weakly bent so that the edges of the flanges lie lowered approximately 60 DEG out of a plane which extends via the crowns formed by the connection sections, these edges not being notched but knurled. Furthermore, longitudinally extending ribs are formed into the main legs. A post is thus obtained, with superior torsional and bending strength, which is suitable for use of harvesting machines without damaging these machines. It makes it possible securely to fix wires of any thickness at any distance and at any height without them being weakened in time by wear against the support points on the post. <IMAGE></p> |
