PURPOSE:To absorb horizontal and vertical vibrations, by constituting an essential part of a vibration absorber of a leaf spring and a string. CONSTITUTION:A vibration absorber is comprised of a hollow housing 1 and a bearing table 3 for placing a load at its upper end thereof and further contains a bearing part 9 constituted of a bearing shaft 7 provided with a leaf spring 5 at its lower end, and strings 13 for suspendingly supporting the bearing part 9 within the housing 1. A load such as a record player is placed on the bearing table 3, and is supported by the housing 1 through the spring 5 and the strings 13. Accordingly, even when external vibrations are transmitted from vibration sources such as speakers to the housing 1 through a floor or a wall, the horizontal component of the vibrations is substantially absorbed and damped by the strings 13, while the vertical component of the vibrations is substantially absorbed and damped by the leaf spring 5, so that the vibration component transmitted to the record player or the like on the table 3 as a noise source or a howl source is very little. |
