The mowing unit comprises a blade carrier (2,3,6 etc.) rotated about a vertical axis and provided with a vertical pivot pin (15) near its periphery which is held in position by one end of a (leaf) spring (17;18,19). The blade (5) is freely swivelable about this pin. The (forked) end of the spring engages a recess (annular groove 16) in the pin (15) whilst its radially inner end (18,19) is located by engagement with portions (10,12,3) of the carrier and may be U-shaped. The upper end of the pin and the corresponding outer end of the spring may be arranged in a recessed depression (8) in the truncated conical peripheral upper wall of the carrier. FL. |
