PURPOSE:To obtain a large output signal having no distortion, even if a leakage magnetic field from a main magnet is large, by applying a bias magnetic field having a vector component, in a parallel direction and a right angle direction to a magneto-resistance element. CONSTITUTION:7A and 7B are detecting parts being thin film magneto-resistance elements which are turned back once, are provided in parallel at a 1/2 wavelength interval of a signal magnetic field, an electric power source is connected between terminals 14A, 14B, and a signal output is obtained from a terminal 14C. As for a bias magnet 13, that which is magnetized diagonally so that the chain line becomes a boundary of a magnetic pole is stuck to the reverse side of an insulating substrate 6. A magnetic field of the H direction is applied to the detecting parts 7A, 7B. The magnetic field H can be brought to vector decomposition to a parallel component HY and a right angle component HX to the detecting parts 7A, 7B. When the parallel magnetic field HY to the detecting parts 7A, 7B is applied, a saturated magnetic field becomes large as shown by a curve N, a straight line resistance value variation range B2 to the magnetic field has a straight line range extending over a wider magnetic field range than a conventional straight line resistance value variation range B of a curve M by a bias magnet of only the X direction, and even if a leakage magnetic field from a main magnet 3 is large, an output which scarcely has distortion is generated. |
