<p>A pointer mechanism for use in measuring instruments such as pressure gauges, thermometers, etc. has a rocking arm mounted between two plates, driven by a measured generator and interacting with an actual value indicator. An electricity safety contact (19) is mounted on a further plate, and the rocking arm is provided with a switching contact (20) which energises the safety contact at a given measured value. The safety contact is pref. A reed contact and the switching contact is pref. a magnet. Pref. the safety contact is mounted on an adjustable plate (21) to permit alteration of the switching arm (25) connected to the rocking arm.</p> |
