PURPOSE:To contrive to improve the heat exchange efficiency by a method wherein bubble promotors are mixed in high temperature heat transfer medium in order to boil low boiling medium under low-superheated condition by serving the bubble promotors as bubble nuclei. CONSTITUTION:The high temperature heat transfer medium 5 is gently circulated in a chamber 8 and yet spherical, vertically movable, and gas-permeable individual bodies 10 are mixed in the high temperature heat transfer medium 5 in order to serve said permeable bodies 10 as the bubble promotors of the low boiling medium 6. Because each individual body 10 is gas-permeable and has a percentage of voids as high as nearly 80-90% and small heat capacity, the major part of low boiling medium droplets 6a enter the permeable body 10, resulting in boiling themselves by solid/liquid contact. Because of the high percentage of voids of the permeable body 10, the pressure loss of the stream in the chamber 8 is small. Accordingly, the titled heat exchanger has improved heat exchange efficiency in spite of its size is smaller. |
