PURPOSE:To realize a titled copying machine having high efficiency, by constituting so that a moving unit formed by placing symmetrically an electrostatic charging device and a developing and cleaning device centering around an optical path of an optical system executes a reciprocating motion along the surface of a photoreceptor, and executing an exposure process in both the going path and the returning path. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning device 1, a developing device 2, electrostatic charging devices 3, 5, a developing device 6 and a cleaning device 7 are placed symmetrically centering around an optical system 4 in the inside of a moving unit A, and this moving unit A executes a reciprocating motion to the left and right in the direction as indicated with an arrow along a belt-like photoreceptor 8, and on the other hand, the photoreceptor 8 rotates in the direction as indicated with an arrow. When the moving unit A moves in the right direction, a toner image is formed by operating only the cleaning device 7, the charging device 5, the optical system 4 and the developing device 2, an when the unit A moves in the left direction, the toner image is formed by operating only the cleaning device 1, the charging device 3, the optical system 4 and the developing device 6. |
