PURPOSE:To aim at protecting a high pressure generating device and as well preventing an accident thereof from being brought about, by supplying lubrication oil of a pressure equal to the pressure of high pressure fluid generated in the sliding part of a ram, for making the reciprocating movement of the ram smooth and as well for preventing the leakage of the high pressure fluid, and by stopping the operation of the device upon, for example, the shortage of lubrication oil. CONSTITUTION:A ram 2 reciprocatingly slides in a cylinder 1 to suck fluid into a pressure boost chamber 6 through an inlet port 7, and therefore, high pressure fluid discharged from an outlet port 8 presses a constant pressure piston 13. In this way, the pressure of lubrication oil supplied into an oil chamber 16 from a lubrication oil supply source 17 is made equal to the pressure of high pressure fluid generated in the pressure boost chamber, and the pressure of lubrication oil fed to the slide part of the ram 2 through an oil supply ring 3 is also made equal to the pressure of the high pressure fluid so that the sliding operation of the ram 2 is made smooth and as well the leakage of high pressure fluid from the slide part is prevented. Further, upon the shortage of lubrication oil, the moving distance of the constant pressure piston 13 increases so that a detecting rod 24 projects out of the cylinder 1 as shown by the broken line, and therefore, the drive source of the ram 2 is stopped by detecting the above- mentioned condition, thereby the device is protected and the occurrence of accident is prevented.
