PURPOSE:To simplify the manufacturing processes and to increase the rigidity of structure for a sound diaphragm, by applying a molten matter ultra-quenching process. CONSTITUTION:The beryllium or a molten metal 11 containing mainly beryllium is stored in a heating container 13 and then heated and melt. Then the metal 11 is jetted out between rolls 15 and 15 through a nozzle 13A provided at the lower part of the container 13 and then ultra-quenched to obtain a metallic thin plate 14 of beryllium or a molten metal of several 10mum containing mainly beryllium. Then the plate 14 is inserted between rolls 16 and 16 which are pressed rotatably to each other to undergo a cold rolling process. Thus a thin plate 14' having a desired thickness of about 10mu is obtained. Such a plate 14' undergoes a press forming process. In such a way, a diaphragm 17 is obtained for a ribbon-shaped speaker for example. |
