PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp image stable in quality even after long time copying without producing offensive odor, by incorporating a specified compd. having strong polarity control effect in a dry type electrophotographic toner contg. a resin as a main component. CONSTITUTION:The toner contains a compd. represented by the shown formula in which R1, R2 are each H, 1-6 C alkoxy, phenyl, or the like. This compd. has strong polarity control action. It exhibits sufficient polarity control effect even in a small amt. used, besides it produces no offensive odor during fixing, and it is not adversely affected by change of the environments, such as temp. change. It is added preferably by >=0.1wt% of the toner resin component. A latent image on a photoreceptor is developed with this toner to obtain a sharp image. |
