When a NC control device requests a tool, the tool number is written into memory area 31 c, the number of a tool holder in a rotatable magazine 10 holding the required tool is searched in memory area 31a and written into area 31d. The magazine is then rotated until the required tool reaches tool change position 15 and arm 13 exchanges the present tool and the required tool. The memory is then amended accordingly. The changer can discriminate between large and small tools. |
