D-homo steroid (I) is prepared by hydroxylation with enzyme generated from micro-organism on llth position of comp. II; where dot line of 1 and 2-position is random carbon bond; R6 is H, F, C1 or methy1 group; and R17a is hydoxy or acyl-oxy group. The product is used as antiphlogistic agent. Acyloxy group is C1-C15 saturated or unsaturated aliphatic or aromatic carboxylic acids such as formic acid, acetic acid, trifluoroacetic acid, propionic acid, caproic acid, oleic acid, cyclopentyl propionic acid, cyclohexyl propionic acid, phenyl acetic acid, benzoic acid, atc. Desirable D-homo steroid has double bond on 1 and 2-position.
