PURPOSE:To contrive the comfortable feeling of riding and the stability of steering upon either turning or straight running by a simple structure by a method wherein a ball joint and rubber bushes are arranged so as to turn the tyre into the direction of toe-in with respect to either one of side force, braking force, engine braking force and driving force. CONSTITUTION:When the side force S acts on the tyre upon turning, a rotating moment is generated about an axle L and the rear end of the wheel 1 is displaced outwardly by the horizontal component HF of the reaction F of a stabilizer, therefore, a wheel hub 18 is displaced into the direction of toe-in about the ball joint 21. When the braking force B acts on the grounding point G from fore to rear side, the hub 18 is displaced into the direction T of toe-in about the axle L because the grounding point G is located at the inside of the surface P. When the engine braking force E acts on a wheel center W from the fore to the rear side thereof, the braking force E acts into the toe-in direction about the axle L because the wheel center W is located at the inside of the surface P. When the driving force K acts on the wheel center W from the rear to the fore, the hub 18 is brought into toe-in as the result of integrating effect of the toe-out about the axle L and the toe-in about the axle M. |
