PURPOSE:To improve a CPU system using plural CPUs, by interrupting an interruption program which diagnoses the existence of a failure at a fixed time interval, and operating the program in a memory area. CONSTITUTION:When a master CPU 5 stops, a slave CPU 8 outputs a command to switch the connection of a peripheral device 13 to a peripheral device switching device 12, which separates the peripheral device 13 from the master CPU 5 and connects the device 13 to the slave CPU 8. The task for checking a storage device divides an area which is not used during the execution of the slave program processing of the slave CPU 8 in the storage device of a system B into 3n equal areas. When the slave CPU 8 receives an interruption from a clock device 10, a timer interruption waiting task waiting an interruption from the clock device is executed and a check state word secured in the working area is checked. |
