PURPOSE:To remove the blackness and blurring of a background paper surface and to improve contrast by uniformly reexposing an undried diazo copying paper right after image exposing and developing. CONSTITUTION:The diazo copying paper 1 which is held in tight contact with an original and is subjected to image exposing by an ordinary image exposing light source passes between a developing roller 4 and a counter roller 5 and is developed by a developing soln. 3. The delivered diazo copying paper 1 is uniformly reexposed by a reexposing light source 2 disposed on the immediate down stream of the roller 4 while said paper is held wet by the soln. 3 before the exposed character and line figures are thoroughly developed and stabilized, namely, during the progression of the development, by which the blackness and blurring of the background paper surface are removed. Since the decrease of the density in the character and line drawing parts is extremely low, the contrast over the entire part is improved. The blackness and blurring of the background paper surface are thus removed by the reexposing and the contrast of the copied image is improved. |
