PURPOSE:To increase the intensity of illumination in a given direction by providing a reflecting mirror, which is formed by performing vacuum deposition with metal or the like over a desired area of the upper section of an outer tube after an electric discharge lamp is positioned laterally. CONSTITUTION:An emission tube 3 made of quartz glass or the like is installed inside an outer tube 1 made of hard glass or the like, in such a manner that the tube 3 is supported by a supporting member 4. In addition, after an electric discharge lamp is laterally positioned, aluminum metal or the like is vacuum- deposited over a desired area of the upper inner surface of the outer tube 1 to form a reflecting mirror 2. As a result, the intensity of light in a given direction can be increased by the mirror 2, and the lamp can present a significant effect when utilized as an electric discharge lamp for correcting fish. |
