PURPOSE:To inhibit the inverse regeneration of ion-exchange resin, by separating anion and cation-exchange resins from each other by a separating mechanism, circulating the separated resins to a desalinator column, recognizing said separation, and then regenerating them. CONSTITUTION:Ion-exchange resins in a desalinator column 1 are sent to a separating mechanism 4 and separated therein into anion and cation-exchange resins. The separated anion-exchange resin is returned through a pipe 6 to the desalinator column 1. After the completeness of the separation is recognized by a switch valve 7 and a sampling mechanism 8 on the way, said anion-exchange resin is sent through a transfer pipe 16 to a regenerator column 18. The regeneration of the cation-exchange resin is performed in the same way. Thus, the separation of the two ion-exchange resins is made perfect on the occasion of said regeneration, so as to inhibit the inverse regeneration of the ion-exchange resins. |
