PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor with high sensitivity and high durability by incorporating a specified ketone hydrazone compound into a photosensitive layer as a photoconductive substance. CONSTITUTION:A ketone hydrazone compound represented by formula I [where each of R<1> and R<2> is alkyl, aralkyl or aryl, (n) is 1 or 2, A<1> is (substituted) aryl, A<2> is an aromatic heterocyclic group, A<1> and A<2> may bond to each other to form an aromatic condensed ring, and the substituent is alkyl, halogen, OCH3, phenyl or the like], e.g. the compound represented by formula II is incorporated into a photosensitive layer as a photoconductive substance. The compound is especially incorporated into a charge transferring layer to form a laminated photosensitive layer consisting of the charge transferring layer and a charge generating layer. Thus, a receptor with high sensitivity, low residual potential and superior durability is obtd. The receptor undergoes little change in the surface potential and little reduction in the sensitivity and accumulates hardly residual potential even when used repeatedly. |
