摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent picture staining due to fogging in the former half period, sensitivity variaton after a break, etc., by carrying out hysterisial sensitization in the 1st rotation of a photoreceptor which has a photosensitive layer containing CdSxSe1-x.nCdCO3, and performing electrostatic charge and picture exposure in the 2nd and succeeding rotations and forming an electrostatic latent image. CONSTITUTION:The photoreceptor 1 which has the photosensitive layer formed by dispersing CdSxSe1-x.nCdCO3 (0<x<1 and 0<n<4) powder in binder resin is static electrically charged by an electrostatic charger 8 for transfer at a reference position to a surface potential V00 in the 1st rotation (TR electrostatic charge). Then, the surface potential is reduced by an eraser lamp 10 to Vi1 (ER exposure). Main CH electrostatic charge is carried out by a main electrostatic charger 2 to increase the surface potential up to V02. The 2nd rotation is started without picture exposure and after the surface potential is increased up to V'00 again by TR exposure, the ER exposure is performed; and a picture 4 is exposed and developed to transfer the toner image to copying paper 7 by using the charger 8. Thus, the hysterisial sensitization is performed in the 1st rotation without forming any latent image to stabilize the sensitivity, and copying operation is performed in the 2nd and succeeding rotations. Consequently, the picture staining due to fogging in the former half period, sensitivity variation after a break, etc., is prevented.
